Abida stopped Thailand’s Wandee Sinongkhrot in the fifth round of their scheduled eight-round fight at FCC Stadium. The bout served as a headline fixture of the Brave Hearts boxing event, drawing significant attention from regional sports fans and international promoters alike.

Hailing from the capital of Balochistan, Abida became the first Pakistani woman to ever compete for a WIBA world title. Her decisive fifth-round stoppage demonstrated superior conditioning and technical prowess throughout the early exchanges of the contest.

The triumphant performance is expected to significantly improve her international boxing ranking within the atomweight division. The high-profile victory marks only her second international professional fight, highlighting a remarkably rapid ascent in the global ranks.

Abida began her competitive boxing career in 2018, steadily building her reputation on the domestic circuit before transitioning to the international arena. She previously captured Pakistan’s national professional boxing title through dedication and rigorous training regimens.

Her journey to the world championship was fraught with considerable obstacles, including financial difficulties and initial resistance from her family during her formative years in the sport. Despite these persistent challenges, she maintained unwavering focus on her ultimate professional ambitions.

Following her historic championship victory, Abida expressed profound gratitude to her supporters who stood by her through difficult times. She specifically thanked her family, corporate sponsors, head coach Shariq Khan, and the citizens of Pakistan for their continuous backing.

The breakthrough triumph is anticipated to inspire a new generation of female combat athletes across Pakistan, opening doors for broader participation in professional boxing. As women's sports continue to gain momentum nationwide, Abida's world title stands as a testament to resilience and athletic excellence.
